My name is Bonnie Holler and I am an elder in Community of Christ. I have served in many capacities in the church: church school teacher, congregation & district women’s leader, counselor to the pastor, church school director, Congregation Fellowship chairman, Bible School Director, taught classes at Brush Creek & worked in BC camps and this year on the Leadership Team pastoring our Fairfield IL Congregation.
My home town is Fairfield, IL. We have 3 children all active in the church. Jackie Hogue, Elder, serving as Pastor of Maryville IL Congregation, Dennis Holler, Elder, Overland Park KS, & Mark Holler, Mounds View, MN. Boys have also served in many capacities in their congregations. We also have 5 grandchildren & 2 great grandsons!
My ministry passion: Witnessing congregations serving to the best of their ability and having programs where they can serve and invite others “to come and share”.
Our Fairfield Church works with other churches in town staffing the “Clothes Line”, a community organization that stocks “good used clothing” providing people with the opportunity to buy at very affordable prices. I have volunteered in this organization 18 years.
Ivan & I have sponsored the Red Cross Blood Drive in our Family Life Center for over 10 years.
I have an associate degree plus several correspondence courses & in house classes & workshops.
Ivan & I served in the Mt Vernon church for 3 years, Ivan as pastor and I did church school work. I also taught church school and helped with the youth group at the International Christian Church in Dhaka, Bangladesh when we lived there.
My real PASSION to be alive when the “Book of Mormon” plates come forth!
