Gordon Ashley


Gordon Ashley serves as a minister in Community of Christ, holding the priesthood office of Elder.

Prior to his calling as Elder, Gordon also served as a Deacon and Priest.

Gordon currently serves as Assistant Pastor for the Massac Creek IL congregation.  Previously, he has served as pastor, financial officer (both local congregation and at the district level), youth leader, teacher, auditor, leaders of various commissions, and registrar for reunion.

He and his wife Debbie live in Paducah, KY, and have been married since May 6, 1972.

Gordon and Debbie share a passion for youth ministry and outreach.

Gordon is involved with the Life Line Program at Western Baptist Hospital.

He has earned a BS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry/Math minor, attending Graceland College, and Wright State.

Both Gordon & Debbie were raised in the Upper Ohio Valley Region, Cincinnati congregation, moved to Evansville, IN ( KY/IN area for 7 years), and then moved to Paducah, KY (for past 23 years).

His favorite quote comes from Dr. Jacobson at Graceland University, “There’s no such thing as a dumb question if you don’t know the answer.”
